Questions to Ask at a Job Interview
You need to remember it is just as important to interview your future boss, as it is for them to interview you! You want to know whether this company is a place you would want to work, and if the work culture is right for you. However, your main focus will be on picking the right boss. Here are a few questions you should ask:
1. Have you ever been a mentor, or someone on the job? How did it go?
2. Please tell me about the success of one of your team members, and how did you help bring it about?
3. How do you get your team members to work together?
4. Please give some examples of feedback, whether positive or negative, and how did you handle it?
5. What would your employees say your strengths and weaknesses are?
Women: What to Wear to Work
Are you worried about how you dress at work? Do you want to be taken seriously? If you are a woman, there are a million options for dressing for the office. Unfortunatley, some women have not learned that others do not often take them seriously if they dress like they are getting ready for an evening outside, opposed to getting dressed for work.
Here are some good guidelines to follow according to careerbuilder.com and business etiquette expert Susan Roane:
1. Skirts: A good rule of thumbis that skirt lengths should be no more than one handwidth above the knee
2. Tops: Don’t wear tops that are too tight or revealing. Make sure that there is at least one inch of room between your body and the fabric, and conceal your midriff. Backs, stomachs, breasts and shoulders should be covered. Don’t wear anything see-through, wear a bra, and keep your straps hidden.
